From Passion to Practice - My Journey to Founding Bo-tanics



As I walk through the terraced gardens of Bo-tanics Aroma-Herbary, I'm transported back to my childhood, a time when my love for plants first took root. My mother, an avid gardener herself, taught me the names of each wildflower we'd come across on our walks through the South Downs in Sussex. I used to be in awe of her knowledge and memory. Little did I know then that these early encounters with nature would shape my life's path, leading me to where I stand today.


Over two decades ago, I began my journey as a Reiki Master, immersing myself in the world of energy healing. It became clear to me that true healing comes from nurturing balance within ourselves, physically, emotionally and energetically. This realisation led me to explore the first thoughts of a sanctuary, my own garden where I could grow the herbs and plants I could ever need for my own health journey.


Enter 2020, when we all stayed at home. At times my emotional health was on a downward slide. However I was so grateful to have my wonderful garden to lose myself in. Its’ citrus herby smells really calmed my emotions and I felt an instant connection with the earth. This gave me the idea for my first aura spray - an uplifting blend of lemon, rosemary, bergamot, myrrh and vetiver. Every time I used this combination I felt an instant connection to the earth. This grounding quality really uplifted my spirit and my Soul Balance aura mist was born.


Since that time I’ve slowly developed a small but potent collection of aura space mists and essential oil body products. My market stall now displays organic herbs, herbal formulas, as well as herbal consultations tailored to your unique needs. As a practicing aroma herbalist, I have a passion for handcrafting remedies in small batches, ensuring the potency and quality of my products. My commitment to sustainability and purity is unwavering, sourcing only the finest organic herbs (some from my garden) and essential oils.

A Herbal Infusion for Stress Relief
& Adrenal Support



This soothing herbal infusion helps to balance stress hormones, support adrenal health and promote relaxation.



INGREDIENTS

1 tsp dried Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) – Calming and uplifting

1 tsp dried Chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla) – Soothing and digestive support

1 tsp dried Nettle leaves (Urtica dioica) – Rich in minerals, supports adrenal function

1 tsp dried Ashwagandha root (Withania somnifera) – Adaptogenic, supports stress response

2 cups of boiling water


INSTRUCTIONS

Place the dried herbs in a teapot. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the herbs. Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink warm or cold. Add honey or lemon if desired for flavour.


DOSAGE

Drink 1-2 cups daily for adrenal and nervous system support.
