Come into the garden

Chakra Garden is two things held together.

A daily practice, first. Open it, see where the moon and the season are actually standing tonight, and take half a minute to notice how you are.

Underneath that sits an apothecary: herbs, essential oils, flower essences and crystals, each filed under the chakra it belongs to, with its traditional uses, safety notes and how to take it.

Each month, the garden hands you four things drawn from it: a herb, an oil, a flower essence and a stone, moving with the season and the moon.

And whenever you need it, there's a breathing session waiting. No need to check the moon or wait for your monthly tending, just open it and breathe for as long as you like.

No account. No ads. Nothing tracked.
Just come in.

Something you can hold

Most days the thing that needs attention isn't a number. It's the tightness that sits across your shoulders by mid afternoon. The restlessness you can't quite place. The fog that won't lift, or the words that won't come.

The garden doesn't ask you to log any of that. It asks where you're feeling it, and then it puts something real in your hands. A herb to brew. An essential oil to breathe in. A flower essence to take on the tongue, a stone to keep in your pocket through the day.

Nothing abstract. Things you can hold.

This month in the garden

September sits with the root. It's the centre of ground and safety, the one that asks whether you're actually held, and the first to go when you've been stretched too thin for too long. That's the northern autumn. If you're south of the equator the garden turns the other way and gives you the spring tending instead, labelled with your own month. Either way, it meets the season you're actually standing in.

Spirulina,the herb
Vetiver, the essential oil
Olive, the flower essence
Bloodstone, the crystal

Deep green, mineral rich, quietly rebuilding. The kind of nourishment that works underneath everything else.

Distilled from root, and it smells like it: dark, earthy, steadying. The one to reach for when you can't settle.

For the exhaustion that arrives after a long stretch of holding it all together, when there's nothing left in reserve.

Grounding, and old as courage. Keep it in a pocket and forget about it.

Each one arrives with what it does, how to take it, what to be careful of, and why it belongs to this centre.

The garden opens on the equinox, at the point where the year tips towards dark. Starting at the root is not an accident.

The 7 Chakras

The chakras are seven energy centres running up the body, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each one is a way of describing something you already know how to feel. They aren't organs, and nobody is claiming they are. They're a very old and very useful map for the places lifeforce energy gets stuck, and once you have the map you know which plants to reach for.

A garden has always been the way in

The garden takes you the rest of the way. Every plant here has a home in one of the seven chakras, the way every plant in a real garden has a bed it belongs to. That is the whole of the navigation.

You don't need to know your Manipura from your Muladhara to walk in. You need to know where it hurts, or where it's stuck, or where something is finally starting to open.

The garden takes you from there.

Four ways in, and you can use as much or as little of it as you like. Some people open the garden every morning. Some come only when something's gone out of kilter and they want to know what to reach for. Both are the right way to use it.

Reach for it

Open the garden. It'll show you tonight's moon and where the season stands this week, plus a quiet little space to note how you're feeling. Half a minute is enough.

Meet this month's four picks: a herb, an oil, a flower essence and a crystal, all drawn from one energy centre and chosen to match where the year is. Each one comes with plain instructions, so you'll always know what it's for and how to use it.

Brew the tea. Breathe in the essential oil. Take a couple of drops of the flower essence under the tongue. Keep the stone in your pocket, or under your pillow. Real things, for the days you actually need them, whenever that is.

The small things matter

🌍 Built for both hemispheres. Tell the garden where you are and the tendings follow your season, not somebody else's. If it's spring where you're standing, the garden knows.

☑️ Works with no signal. Once it's on your phone, the whole apothecary is yours whether or not you have a connection. Useful in a field, a plane, or a house with bad reception.

🌖 Moon and season, as they actually are. Not decorative. The garden reads tonight's phase and this week's point in the year, and the tendings are chosen around them.

📱 Nothing leaves your phone. No account, no sign up, no analytics, no advertising. Your notes are yours and stay where you wrote them.

🌿 Written by a herbalist. Every safety note and preparation method is the one Bo gives her own clients.

"My thrill is putting the right herb in the right hands at the right time. This app is that, in your pocket. I built the garden I needed for the times I couldn't get to my own."
Bo Lemm

Hello there, I'm Bo, a qualified Herbal Medicine Consultant and Reiki Master. I am currently working by the Atlantic coast of Portugal, and I've spent time putting the right plant into the right hands.

Everything in this garden has come through my hands first. The safety notes are the ones I give my own clients. The plants are the ones I actually reach for.

I hope it helps you find the ground under your feet, and something useful to hold to on the days you need it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this instead of seeing someone?

No. This is for education and spiritual practice, not medical advice. The garden sits alongside proper care, it doesn't replace it. Always check in with a qualified practitioner before taking herbs, particularly in pregnancy, while breastfeeding, alongside medication, or with an existing condition.

What if I want more than an app?

Then come and find me. Herbal consultations and Reiki treatments are both here on this site.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything is on your device once you've installed it. No connection needed, anywhere.

Do I need to already know about chakras?

Not a bit. Come as you are. I'll explain the rest.

I'm in the southern hemisphere, will the seasons be wrong?

No. The garden asks which hemisphere you're in when you first open it, and everything follows from there. If it's spring where you're standing, you get the spring tending, and it's labelled with your own month. September means September wherever you are.

What happens after the first year?

A new tending arrives every month, and the garden keeps going. The plants change, the centres come round again, and you meet them differently the second time.

Do I need to buy herbs to use it?

No. Plenty of people will use the garden as a reading and reflecting practice. If you do want to work with the plants, every entry tells you how to prepare it and what to watch for.

Where does my information go?

Nowhere. It stays on your phone. I'm not watching, and nobody else is either.

Be the first in the Chakra Garden

Join now and you'll get the link the morning the garden opens, at the founding price. Once you're in, that price doesn't move. Between now and the equinox I'll send you the odd small tending note, so the garden is already a little familiar by the time you arrive.
